Bryophytes in the Trossachs: Introduction and identification

Saturday 11 November, 10am–3.30pm

Ben A’an, near Brig o’Turk, Stirling

Introduction to bryophytes (mosses and liverworts), their ecology and how to identify them, led by expert bryologist Gordon Rothero. No previous experience assumed. Starting from Loch Katrine, we will follow paths up through the woodland on the slopes of Ben A’an, looking at bryophytes on the woodland floor, on crags and by the burn. Note: path is steep in places and may be wet underfoot, so walking boots with a good grip are essential.

Booking is essential for this walk.  Please call 01786 478509 or email scotland@plantlife.org.uk

This is a free event however donations are very welcome to support our work.
